Die Schwedische Egger Akademie

The society was established in February 26, 1993 in close proximity to Egg. This happend in the country house of one of the members, in the village Bizau. Die Schwedische Egger Akademie was preceded by Eggerförbundet (The Egger Association) which was founded and dissolved prior to the foundation of the academy.

Die Schwedische Egger Akademie is an independent, non-profit organization which does not receive any financial support or any other advantages from Brauerei Egg. But we are open-minded and may reconsider this if opportunity is given. ;-)

In 1993 we launched the first Egger-web site. This was one of the first web sites on the Net and published several years before major corporations, such as Microsoft, even could spell to either Web or Internet.

In 1994, at the 100 year anniversary of the brewery Brauerei Egg, three members represented the society at the celebration in Egg.

In 1995 we developed a Monopoly-style board game for internal use.

In 1997 we launched our second, redesigned web site.

In 2004 we launched our third, redesigned (current) web site.

Since the academy was founded and onwards, we have arranged several joint trips for our members and friends between Stockholm and Bregenzerwald.

One of our primary inns of choice when enjoying Egger is Gasthof Taube, Bizau.
